For the section "Cases of the Day", Professor Bernd Hamm (ECR 2015 Congress President) and I kindly ask for your help in collecting cases.
As in previous years, the high quality and diversity of the cases heavily depend on you and your colleagues. Primary objective of the "Cases of the Day" section is to stimulate the participants in a systematic image analysis, correlation of the clinical symptoms with image findings and formulation of adifferential diagnosis. For this reason the submitted cases should include pathologies from all fields of radiology, should be well documented and of didactic value.
We kindly ask you to check your own radiological environment for cases that might be suitable.
Please handle your contribution(s) top secret for security reasons (do not involve your co-workers)!
The submitted cases should include a short clinical summary, the clinical history and imaging procedures, a discussion of the imaging techniques and findings, and the final diagnosis. For detailed information on structure and word count please refer to the guidelines on the next pages.
It goes without saying, that the names of the responsible author(s) will be indicated on the selected cases. A certificate will be provided after the congress.
All accepted cases can also be published in EURORAD (www.eurorad.org) after ECR 2015.
Upon your approval, all good cases, which cannot be accepted for the "Cases of the Day" section, couldbe used for the ESR Education on Demand platform.
We thank you and your colleagues in advance for your co-operation and your support and are looking forward to your reply.
Prof. Dr. José Vilar
Chairman "Cases of the Day" ECR 2015
